Located at the foot of the polychromatic Cerro de los Siete Colores (Hill of the Seven Colors), Purmamarca is one of the most attractive and picturesque villages in Quebrada de Humahuaca (Humahuaca Ravine).

During the tour around Purmamarca, tourists may appreciate the beauty of Northern landscapes, while enjoying long walks, horseback rides, photographic safaris, or practicing mountaineering or paragliding. The craft fair installed at the main square of this colonial village introduces tourists to the regional culture. No tourist can miss the opportunity of visiting Santa Rosa de Lima Church, which was built in 1648 and declared a National Historic Monument in 1941 due to its valuable architecture and decoration.
