The City Tour around Ushuaia is the first excursion tourists take in Tierra del Fuego’s capital city. It consists in a tour in which visitors may see the most emblematic places of the so called City of the End of the World.

The excursion begins downtown. After admiring the contrast between modern buildings and the typical wooden houses with gable roofs, the tour continues at the old Casa de Gobierno (Government Office of Tierra del Fuego) and at Nuestra Señora de la Merced Church. The Museo del Fin del Mundo (End of the World Museum) and the Museo Maritimo de Ushuaia (Maritime Museum of Ushuaia) –located at the building of the old prison – are also included in the City Tour. The excursion ends after visiting Saint Christopher Vessel, which ran aground in Ushuaia Bay in 1953.
