Cerro Catedral (Catedral Hill) is one of the most important ski centers in the world. Located in Nahuel Huapi National Park, it owes its name to the towers similar to a gothic cathedral it has at its top.
The Cerro Catedral excursion begins downtown in Bariloche. After a 19-km trip, visitors may practice different winter sports surrounded by impressive Andean landscapes. During the rest of the year, the tour may include other activities, such as long walks and rock climbing.
During the tour, tourists can visit the Virgen de las Nieves Cave and Villa Los Coihues, on the banks of Gutierrez Lake. They can also go to see the Emilio Frey Shelter, located at an altitude of 1700 m.
Adventurers and even those tourists who only want to admire the majesty of the Andes can enjoy the Cerro Catedral excursion which ends in Bariloche.
